Sorry, Josh...

No rant update yet. I promise that when I bring it back to life, it'll make your life complete.

And if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you, as well.

Holey Balls, Batman...!

JUNO FSCKING ROCKED COCK IN A SOCK!

(and yes, I just threw together random words that rhymed with 'rocked' to show how awesome it was)

It's about freakin' time I've seen it! I've only been mentioning it since October. It's still a bit funny that everyone I've showed it to has seen it AT LEAST once (my roommate saw it three times) before I finally got a chance to see it.

But now I'm happy.

Tonight....HOME!

Who's excited for this weekend...?

MEEEEEEEE!!!!

My roommate and I are pumped about going to Districts to see the different shows (BTW, what are the shows and times? A list would be nice...).

I figure Friday we'll go see Cloverfield together in Greenville (anybody wanna join?). I'll be having dinner with Grandma and the rest of the family. Also, I need to stop at the school and get my transcript from them for a scholarship.

Fun times...or at least better than watching Bring It On 4....again...

>_<

Movie Nights and Religion...

Tonight's movie at Wesley was Lawrence of Arabia. For those who don't know of Lawrence of Arabia, it is a very good movie. The downside of the movie is the length. We had gotten to Wesley at about 7:30, and we started the film roughly about 7:45.

It got done around 11:25. The movie lasts 216 minutes, making it a little over 3 and a half hours long. The movie has an intermission set up in it, so it was nice to be able to stretch out for a wee bit.

When we got back to campus, Alan and I ended up talking with a few people from the bottom floor about starting a cult, which turned into an hour and a half of talking about religion. I had a lot of fun with that.

Alan was born into religion, but casted it aside and doesn't believe in a god. Mollie was born into religion and has always followed the beliefs. Sam is semi-religious, but had events that made her question her relationship with God.

I am personally not religious. I went for a few years in my youth, but only agreed with it because I was told that that was the way things went. Today, I consider myself agnostic. I neither accept nor deny the existence of things like God or the afterlife. I find it fun to have these little experiences, like seeing where people come from in their beliefs by listening or going with them to Mass and whatnot. I might never conform to a religion, but I think being able to look at all sides with open-mindedness, rather than casting off what you can't begin to comprehend entirely, is much more powerful than what some people think.

I'm not a fan of when people are born into a religion. I think that when a person is born within a community that adheres strictly to a set of doctrines, that person is not a believer, but a mere drone. They 'believe' in it because that's all that they know. They weren't left for any room for any other thought. I think that religion is a great thing for society to have; it has been a major influence on things such as moral value, but I think that in order for someone to believe in something, one has to first question the belief.

"If Heaven did exist, would I be accepted in?" This is something I discussed with the group. I think that I've lead a good life and I've followed a moral code that's on a righteous level at times. However, does this mean I'm a good person? I could consider myself good, but someone else could see me as a rotten bastard. Would that play a factor? Would not accepting God into my life hinder my chances entirely? Where's the cap on sinning? Is 5 sins too many?

Of course, it was all a bunch of questions, but it was really good stuff. I can't wait to do it again on Tuesday!

Oh, and I'm bringing my roommate home with me next weekend. He's excited to see Districts! ^_^

Yeah...

Hard classes are hard.

Actually, they aren't even that hard. I expected a slack off semester and got a ton of bookwork for each.

Damn.

Best... 3AM... Ever...

I'm laying on the couch at a friend's apartment, when someone knocks on the door. I get up from the couch to see who it is. It's some really drunk girl, in nothing but a skirt and a short sleeved top, standing in the cold. She looked a bit scared and confused, and asked to come in.

Turns out the drunk girl got left behind at a party, or something, so she came in to make some calls to not get frostbite during the snowstorm. When she started yelling at people over the phone, I decided I'd just take her back to the dorms. I said my goodbyes and headed out.

She was so apologetic about the whole thing. I continually told her she had nothing to be sorry about. I told her I was just about to leave, so it was a good thing she knocked (In honesty, I wasn't, but this is far from the point). I gave her my coat and walked her to my car.

The car ride back was getting to know each other. We asked each other's names, hometowns, majors (which I hesitated to tell her, because Math is deemed as 'gross'...which she agreed with. ^_^), and this and that. Finally, I got her back to the dorms safely. We told each other we'd find one another on Facebook and that was that.

Funny, really.

Inevitable...

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!

Why is it that this keeps fucking happening to me?

I was happy at first, but realizing what it all truly becomes is NOT what I want. I just want something to work out the way it's supposed to for once.

Back, bitches...

Didn't fall asleep until 4:30, had to get up at 6 to move my car, currently have no wallet, and I'm unable to get any school food.

And yet...it's been great here!

G'bye again...

Well, tomorrow, I'm heading back to CMU.

As much as I've bitched about being bored, I've really had A LOT of fun. Seeing Dad, Ashley, Mom and Trever has been good. On top of that, hanging out with friends has proven to be more entertaining than usual. Great Trailer Adventures with Nikki and trying really hard with TJ to maitain our heterosexualities while singing along to songs like "I Love You Always Forever" by Donna Lewis has reminded me what I missed back in Greenville.

Although, the absolute barren city with complete idiots roaming the streets reminded me why CMU is better.

I'm really pumped to go back! I need to get there REALLY early, though, so tomorrow may be a bit boring...

2007 - A Retrospect...

Like last year, I'm reading through my blogs, which were daily up until around the end of my senior year, from January 1st, 2007 to December 31st, 2007, and making a summary of the WTF and the FTW moments!

As I did last year (although, this is a bit late), I'm going to do my review, and then my prediction for the upcoming year.

---

*Long post is LOOOONG*

-Started getting bigger into Ben Folds

-Political Socialization Project for Gov:

"Significant Events- Ages 11-17: Dad remarries to a 22 year old...if you actually read this, OB, I think that deserves some pity points..."

- I never got the pity points, but I did get a nice remark from him!

- 5 starring all the songs on GH2 on medium. Yeah, break must've been THAT boring...

- Starting stage management was awesome, especially having input for lines in the show that Chapman liked and got used!

- Mrs. Zimmer being a butt and removing "Don't Stop Me Now" from it's Class Song throne and replacing it with "World's Greatest", due to the word 'ecstasy'! Shenanigans!

- APUSH Study Guides...oh god...

- This: http://xda.xanga.com/eedd11fa72d31101222887/b71335007.jpg

- ...fscking Josie...

- Hand wrapped for a week due to infection. Almost told people I got into a fight

- Nasty cold during 75% of The Good Doctor, which led to taking two packages of Halls during Districts.

- Freaking out that the show was not where it needed to be...then eventually cooling the hell down.

- Pouring Hotcake Syrup on TJ's stomach in the Districts homeroom.

- Winning Districts! WOO!!!

- Jesse + Shadowpupperty = BAAAAAD

- Having Write Right for two days, getting kicked out of it for not having it first semester, then telling everyone that I called Mrs. G a huge bitch on Day Two of the class.

- Taking Contemporary US History AGAIN (since getting an A in it the first time wasn't enough...), giving me two class periods with Radman! SCORE!

- Finally hitting the point where I didn't give a damn about school anymore, since I was all set to graduate.

- Having Natalie in APUSH and getting to know her finally. Not to mention being one of the few people who was certain she'd kick ass and take names on AP Test without taking the first semester (and being right! ^_^)

- 'Allure of Gold...' AGAIN!!!

- The Death Of Chair: The Regionals Truck-loading Disaster

- Cran Apple + BC Pizza + Parking Lots = AWESOME!

- MIFA State kicked ass! Bullshot Crummond was AMAZING! "Not wonderful, Rosemary. Just British!"

- Going to get my cyst on my finger examined, making hand puns the entire time with my mom...

- Getting scared about graduation...

- 18th Birthday!!! Gambling with Dad, The Vu with James, and Registration with the government!

- Backing into my dad's car going to auditions for Arsenic

- Being up for lead against Greg...but ultimately getting Brooklyn cop...

- Dropping out of the play so that I could work more, pay for the car damage, and not sound like Eliza Minelli onstage. >_>

- Getting the cyst removed. Anesthetics were fun! Also, I remember yelling, "CHARGE THE BLOCKHOUSE!" when being rolled into the OR...

- Blue Man Group concert with Dad and Ashley! HARDCORE!

- Tennessee for Spring Break. Freakin' Sweet! Always a favorite to go there.

- Just remembered viewing a post: I didn't delete an AT from their computer! >_<

- Screwed out of becoming Crew Trainer at McD's. Instead of having it going to me for being the boss's kid, they give it to chumps that don't deserve it. WTF!?

- Easter Vigil: Nikki's big day! Still proud that she accepted a way of life on her own. ^_^

- Almost sliding into a mailbox on the way to Natalie's; felt scared for 15 minutes afterwards...

- Broke a DVD player running Labyrinth for a week straight.

- Ben Folds concert with Nikki, Carter, and Donkey! First concert that I went to with just friends and not my Dad. Great Show, filled with piano jamming and shitty opening acts yelling, "Fuck yo balls!"

- Full Crew, baby! WOO!!! Although, now it doesn't mean jack. But oh well...

- Mrs. Drake, the old substitute teacher, telling Carter and me about the time she got high

- Prom with Nikki: The pictures, the fancy attire, the fake smiling, the Camero, the nice dinner, and the dance, followed by the afterparty. Preprom was probably the best...getting lost in Greenville, of all places...

- Grandma moves out; I move downstairs! WOO!!!

- EMO SPIDEY!!!!!

- AP TEST/CALC2 Exam on same day. Rocked out on both of them!

- Temporarily hated by Nikki's mother, although for reasons fairly justified

- Not one, not two, but THREE SOUNDTRACKS OF LIFE turned into Radman in the two years I had him. That's hard to do!

- Coca-Cola Vanilla returns. Chris is a happy camper.

- Hannah beating me for the Math Award. ^%*&$. Although, Gold Cord FTW!

- Swingout! FINALLY OUT!!!! My thoughts had changed from not wanting to leave, to being ready to go off to college!

- Streaking...for no reason...

- Badass Open House! Truly on epic proportions! I had a freakin' lake...and was the best host you've ever laid eyes on! WHAT NOW?!

(PART TWO)

- Gas station fun with Emily W, although, I wish we had bought the condoms together...

- AP Breakfast with the high schoolers, followed by going to KMart and getting kicked out of my very first store!

- Telling Nikki to draw a pirate duck on her math review sheet and helping her get a B on the exam FTW!

- Mrs. Dee's and FRDC, then getting kicked off FRDC because I'm completely useless...

- House Season 1 + 2!!!!

- Michigan's Adventure! It was sweet, except for swallowing pool water and being Out of Commission the rest of the day. Although, wanting to puke by Neilson's car did seem like a fun idea...

- Finding out Grandpa Coston =/= my real grandpa, thus being even MORE confused about my heritage...

- Fixed my PS2 with the toolkit I got from my Open House. I felt so...accomplished...

- New Lappy!!! <3

- Dad calls me while I'm at Becky's house telling me Ashley's in the hospital...yeah...that wasn't a good night...

- James leaves for AZ...and I get his bike! SCORE!

- Chinese/Movie Days with Nikki. Fun, but knitting during a movie?!!?

- August, yet again. Not as gratifying as the last August...

- Chuck E. Cheese's with Manda and Shannon

- Getting my Roommate Information. Mike Lindsay, Kevin Peake, and Patrick O'Connor. I expected Pat to be a drunken Irishman. Boy, I was WAY off!

- Making the move over from Xanga to Blogger

- Dinner at Winter Inn with family for me going off to college

- Packing up and leaving for college

- Getting a really sweet note from my dad when he dropped me off at college

- Getting locked out of my room on the first weekend there...

- CLASSES AT CMU!!!

- Dorm life proves to be the best life in existence.

- First Week - Watched Shaun of the Dead with Room 308, then later walked into 304 randomly to watch Holy Grail. Both of these rooms are my biggest hangout spots in the hall. Awesome people.

- Getting kicked off the internet...many times...

- House Season 3!

- Dad and I, even with the distance, talking more than we do when we are together:

chris: I can show you around, but I'm not sure what to show
Dad: Show me your favorite bars and strip joints.
chris: WE CAN GO TO O'KELLY'S [Irish Bar & Grill]!!!
chris: I think I have a $5 coupon...
Dad: the women are to old there
chris: Oh well, they're Irish!
Dad: and drunk
chris: And feisty!
Dad: and drunk
chris: And Irish!
Dad: and feisty
chris: And redheads!
Dad: sweeeeet
chris: Hahahaha

- CMU Football = AWESOME!

- Church becomes awesome with the Thursday Movie Night!

- Mike Lindsay and I playing in the rain with three random girls from second floor

- Going with Mike Lindsay and Alan over to the apartment. Had my first drink: Malibu + OJ. Met Liz and Kristen. More awesome people.

- Finding out Miss October is younger than me; having a mid-life crisis

- Met Cat for the first time; called her a bitch (indirectly, of course. Directly would be rude)

- Two weeks later, we stay up all night together in her bed. What the hell...? And she MAKES me call into McD's and lie about being sick for the first time in 3 years.

- Ok, she didn't MAKE me, but still...

- Val invited me over while I was home for the weekend; not very fun

- Great Shed Adventure with Nikki. Found a Freemason book and a squirrel jumped out at me!
Bastard...

- Val invited me over while I was still at CMU; maybe a little more fun this time... ^_^
