Having my two bottom wisdom teeth yanked out of my head has made this week suck just a tad.
Anesthetics were pretty cool, as usual. It's strange to be strapped down to a chair one minute, then, all of a sudden, you can only make out voices. One of the voices sounds familiar...it's your mother. She's talking to you. She's telling you to try harder to sit up straight and not fall over out of the chair. The other lady is unfamiliar, but you can assume it's a nurse, since she speaking of what I'm gonna feel for the next week. After that, they both walk you out to the car, put you in the passenger seat, and you drive off. You regain your grasp on reality, start listening to The Beatles on your iPod, and wonder what the hell happened...
Yeah, something like that...
Anyways, it's been a strict diet of soft foods, which has amounted to applesauce, ice cream, soup, and mashed potatoes for the last week. I'll tell you one thing: that stuff gets REAAAALLY old after the first couple of days.
Pain is still there, but I've been greatly improving. I didn't wake up with a stomach ache and the taste of blood in my mouth this morning, so I guess that's a plus. Vicodin makes me sick, so it's been a little hard recovering. Ibuprofen works just as well, I guess...
I'm really hoping I'll be able to start eating more by next week. Every ad on TV looks sooooo tasty!
;_;
