Hmm...

Haven't had a real post since Western Weekend. How sad...

Nothing too elaborate happened since then that couldn't be described in a Facebook Status quip: homework like crazy, went home, worked, visited people, left, and more homework.

The last two days have been somewhat eventful. Went to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. It was really fun, especially since I didn't realize there'd be people that stand in front of the screen and act out certain parts of the movie. It was really cool.

...especially when Frank N. Furter sat on my lap during a musical number, sprawled out, and kissed my roommate on the cheek. And aiming prop throwing directly at the back of Mike Lindsay's head made for some fun, as well!

Today was apartment hunting. A bit of progress, but not as much as what should have happened.

I also got to pick my classes for next semester. I got all the classes I needed...it's just too bad I don't really want to go to most of them. Still...

Mon/Wed

SOC310 (Life in Russia Today) - [3:30 - 4:45]
ACC201 (Concepts of Financial Accounting) - [5 - 6:15]

Tues/Thurs

STA590 (Applied Statistical Methods II) - [9:30 - 10:45]
ECO202 (Principles of Microeconomics) - [12:30 - 1:45]
MTH523 (Modern Algebra I) - [5 - 6:15]

...not to bad of schedule, all-in-all. I'll be changing my availability at work so that I can work Monday and Wednesday mornings before class. A bit obnoxious, but I'll get to work the same amount of hours and not miss House when it switches to Monday nights! YES!

Birth Name...

I'm not sure where Chris came from.

My aunt didn't believe that I'd be a 'Chris', though. She was so determined that I'd be a girl, that she got my mom a little blue baby dress for me. It's still hanging around somewhere in my house.

I guess they felt Chris was a badass name!

But, you know what I like better?

Western Weekend...

The biggest weekend of the Central year is when our football team plays the Western Michigan University Broncos. For many, it means partying it up and drinking to the body's limit. For me, it meant that I'd be working my hardest at McDonald's for the busiest day of the year at minimum wage.

It really wasn't so bad. Well, the 'working at McD's at 9am for drunk people' part was pretty bad. Six $1000+ hours within the first 3/5 of the day, one of which being a $1700 hour from 9am-10am. It should be noted that we typically do $600 hours...

TJ and Waterford people came up, and it was pretty fun. I actually went out with them on Friday night and partied for a little bit. I actually enjoyed myself, even if I was mostly sober. Definitely would have died had I actually stayed past midnight...

Tomorrow: 9-4 at McD's and homework that needs to get done. Fun.

This morning...

As I was getting up for work this morning, I noticed that Mike Lindsay and all of the Waterford people had not shown up at all after partying. Alan said that they had parted ways, and when Mike Lindsay called and said they were heading back to the room, he never showed up.

Uh oh...

Anyways, as for the vomiter, Shubes woke up right as I was getting ready for work. I had a nice talk with him:

Me: Hey, how're you doing? *puts hand on Shubes' shoulder*

Shubes: I'm alright...

Me: Good. Now, just remember - *slaps Shubes across the face* - I'm not your babysitter, so let's not do that again, okay?

A good way to start the morning, I figured.

To Update...

The last two weeks have been a real drag. I've been sick since waaay back at the end of September. I was coughing and blowing my nose constantly. It prevented me from partaking in festivities and such. My immune system has been pretty terrible since the summer. I'm not exactly sure what's up with that. I might steal people's plasma in their sleep.

I went to the doctor on Wednesday. They told me I was doing fine, so they just gave me antibiotics for bronchitis in case...or something. Maybe they were just banking on the placebo effect...

Anyways, I'm starting to feel better now, but now I'm babysitting my drunk roommate who has somehow morphed into a SuperSoaker with an infinite supply of vomit...

Fun.
