Back to Mt. P...

I ended up leaving CMU last night and spending the night in Greenville. Yup. Although, "shhhh"...Dad doesn't know I was home. I ended up getting back in at about 11PM, stayed the night at Val's, and left back for here at 9 to get to a class.

Worth it? ...meh...

Back again...

Sure, I left for Mt. Pleasant just a couple days ago...but here I am, again!

I decided (fsck! The 'c' and 'alt' keys are being buggy little bastards...) to skip class tomorrow in order to come home. I listened to my iPod crammed with trendy one-hit wonders from the 80s and 90s (Tubthumping, anyone?), visited mom, and stopped at the HS to find TJ. Ended up hanging out with him for 8 hours watching Fracture, SLC Punk, and shit on /b/. Kayla came over and so we spent the rest of the night watching House and catching up.

Fun night.

I would write more...but I'm getting tired......

Let it be known...

...that the love life of Chris Coston is made up of fail and AIDS.

I pretty much just fail at women. I spent High School being myself (nice guy, shows respect for others, caring...that kinda thing), and that got me with a girlfriend who dumped me twice, two people who went on one date with me because they liked me, then somehow getting "let's be friends" from both, and some crushes that were absolutely hopeless and, when combined, wasted two years of my time in high school.

When college came around, I was tired of that. I didn't want to be that nice guy anymore. It left me empty-handed and unhappy. So, I hid that image and just cut loose by being more outgoing and just playing the field. I've gotten the same people as I did in High School: taken people, indecisive people, people that flirt and only leave me utterly confused.

The reason I was home yesterday and not at school mainly had to do with the fact that I got ditched for a date that night. I had the plan set to leave early...I was expecting it to happen.

And thus, leads me the lady of tonight: Val. Now, Val got in contact with me 3 weeks ago and said we should get together the next time I come down. She's been writing me more and said she's excited for having a good time with me. I've been eagerly awaiting today. She was gonna take her kids to the sitters, while we would be all alone watching movies.

No.

I get there at 6. Her kids are there. To make a long story short, I'm there 5 hours with her kids bouncing off the wall and her yelling at them. No intimacy of the lowest degree - one of things I've been really looking forward to the last three weeks and I leave with nothing.

I feel extremely pissed at the fact I wasted my evening, but not at the disappointment. I've grown numb to that feeling.

School...

My site has become famous! Ok, not really...at all...but, when you look up "Ramblingsimon" on Google, one of my entries had been automatically submitted to an extremely low-key Kevin Spacey site, via Google Blogs. I'm moving up in the world!

I got a 66% on my Linear Algebra exam. Yuck. Fortunately, I got an 85% in the class right now. I'll be fine with the next few homework assignments and the final.

Hopefully...

At 4, I get to pick my classes for next semester! So far, I already have the following classes:

Introduction to Mathematical Analysis
Elementary Statistical Analysis

When I do get to pick, I'll also be taking (hopefully):

US History: 1865-Present
Fundamentals of Interpretive Reading
Behavioral Economics

With this schedule, I still won't be able to do stage crew, since I won't get out until 3:15 on the days that I have class, but I will be able to sleep in every day AND not have class on Friday! WOO!!!

Also, I'm looking into doing Study Abroad. I went to CMU's website and found out that I could go 12 different places with Mathematics, 3 of them are in England, which I really want to do! It'd be cool to go to Lancaster, University College London, or Kingston!

Wait, what...?

So, how do I go from being pretty much hated by a girl one night (which she admitted to, thanks to my sarcastic bastard-ness), and then sleeping with her after hanging out with her for 8 hours the second time we see each other?

Must be the boyish charm...

Ended up going out with Mike Lindsay, Alan, and Mike's friend, Catherine. She took us to Karaoke Night at a bar outside of town. I didn't really want to go. I had work today at 9 and I knew I'd be out late.

So after singing Kryptonite and Piano Man as a group (pretty BA, I tell you what), we went back to her place. We ended up watching 10 Things I Hate About You. Mike and Alan got drinks from Meijer thanks to Cat, so they got pretty tipsy. I pretty much acted as Cat's savior from their tomfoolery. We ended up going downstairs to her room while they crashed on the couches. That was about 3:30. We just ended up laying in her bed, talking and cuddling.

I wasn't looking forward to getting up at 7:30 to drive back to Woldt and get ready for work. So...at 5:30, I called McD's and told them I'd been up the last couple hours feeling like hell. I've never done that before. It felt...good.

Neither one of us got to sleep 'til about 7, then we kept waking up on and off until Noon. Right now, I feel like hell for getting about 3-4 hours of sleep, my roommate feels like hell for drinking until 6, and my other roommate's girlfriend is here with the flu. So really...we are all feeling like hell.

Funny how it all works out.

Randomnicity...

Sunday, I had my standard morning shift. Later in the day, Donkey ended up coming to Mt. Pleasant in search of Goodwill. He called me up and we ended up hanging out. We went shopping, shared a pizza at Papa Johns, and went back to my place. It sounds so...homoerotic. We had fun, especially when he said he'd never heard of 4chan and I gave him the tour.

I used to fear that place; now, I visit it daily, awaiting days like Caturday to have the chance to 'Post Some Fscking Cats', and all of its other randomness. It has stolen my soul.

I ended up late for work yesterday. Oops. First time since the Summer, too. I thought I didn't work and they called me in. I ended up being 28 minutes late for my shift. I still had fun at work, though. A lot of good songs came on in the work area, like Bohemian Rhapsody, which we all started singing to. I then got into a debate with one of my managers when he said it was the best song ever. I could not think of what it truly was, but it surely isn't Bohemian Rhapsody.

I admitted that Freddy Mercury was and still is the best singer ever. He gave me credit for that, at least.

I'm still thinking of quitting. I have an application for the front desk downstairs. Pretty much, I'd be getting paid to hand out toilet paper, browse Facebook, and do homework. I'd be getting paid 5 cents less and get half the hours, but it almost seems worth it.

I have Finch as a reference. I think I could be good.

EDIT: Nope, scratch that. I'm a freshman, so I can't. FSCK!!!

I'm coming home the 16th, but my weekend is s full, it isn't even funny! I'll be getting home late Friday night, going to work 8-2, some dead time from 2-7, going to see Footloose with Grandma, assisting/getting in the way during Strike, crash whatever crew party is going down (Why? Because I'm in college, that's why it's allowed!), bed, wake up, do something on my free Sunday, then come back here. Supposed to hang out with Val. Hmm...gotta fit that in somewhere...

What I've Missed...

Jeez...it's been since Saturday since I've updated. It's weird not being on Xanga and clogging up everyone's Subs List with pointless talks about my day. It was a good habit while I was doing it. Not for you guys, but for me. I always go back and read my entries at the end of the year. It's a nice recap of the year.

Some key points of the last week:

-My room never gets hot water, which totally blows, especially when you haven't had a bath all weekend and you smell like McDonalds the entire time.
-My mom and Trever came up to see me. I haven't seen my brother in a while, so it was good stuff.
-Saw Across the Universe with Mike Lindsay. Awesome movie
-Managed to be an hour late for an exam. Was luckily able to still take the dam thing.
-Fscking hooked on Beatles songs
-Got paid finally. Made $260. 'Bout time I get a good check. I've only been working there 5 weeks and got money for the first two and a half. It's still total BS and I wanna leave.
-Played with gerbils in my Bio Lab. Screwed for actual tests. I suck at science like no other. It's pathetic, really.
-Joy of Painting....so relaxing...
-Philosophical debates with (drunken) Mike and Alan. Humanities and purpose...

Well, that's about it. I'll be back in two weeks (which my dad is complaining is too long of time) for Footloose. Man, I miss tech. ;_;
