Toronto...

James and I left Greenville about 8:30am. Getting to Canada wasn't very difficult. A bit easier not having to drive into Detroit to pick up Sam, but it still would've been fun to take her.

We reached Canada customs about 11:15...and made it through just fine. He didn't examine our identification. He just...let us go. SWEET! James was incredibly, since he had to be checked out through customs twice on his last trip to Canada.

Got to Toronto about 3. The weather was quite good. A bit chilly, but nothing we couldn't stand as Michiganders. We spent an hour just walking down one of the main roads, just checking out different places. A lot of cool stuff was sadly closed down, either Out of Business or the fact that it was a Tuesday afternoon.

---
A list of bars we went to:
Fox and Fiddle's (I drank Guinness...not a fan.../James had a beer),
Hooters (since, like I said, "Tuesday Afternoon"...drank a Pepsi/James had a beer),
Hey Lucy's Cafe (I had a water/James had another beer)
Fynn's of Temple Bar (Had a shot of Southern Comfort, learned liquor is cheaper to come by when you get it as a college student/James had...well...just guess),
Diesel Playhouse's Bar (I had a shot of Red Label/James had the same shot, a vodka martini, and another beer)
Second City's Lounge (We both had...something...)
Up and Down (James had a drink that he wasn't sure what was in it...it hit him hard...)
---

I still hate beer. It's just bitter...

Anyways, on our random walks around town, we hit the Diesel Playground, which was playing EVIL DEAD: THE MUSICAL!!! It was truly the best show I've seen in a long time. How can you not love a show that has zombies, tree rape, a Thriller-esque musical number, blood splatter, and a song called, "What the fuck was that?!"

I also got to piss off the ticket lady. The first time I came in to check the prices, the lady told me that I was a cheap-ass for wanting the cheapest seats. When I came back and I told her I was going to buy the cheapest seats...

"You know I'm going to judge you right?"
"Yeah, but y'see, it doesn't matter. I'm never going to see you again...but, if we do, I'm just going to call you a 'creepy stalker'."
"...get over in the other line. She'll get you your tickets."

After the show, we ended up getting into The Second City for a free improv show they were doing. It was hilarious to watch. Not as good as the musical, but still entertaining.

After THAT, we went back to Fox and Fiddle to see an Open Mic show. James, in his effort to get a hold of Absinthe, which he had been trying all day, left and went to the Up and Down (see above), he came back, and after a bit more wandering into buildings, we crashed back at the room sometime around midnight.

A good day, although James felt sick and threw up in his bed...but still a good time.

Not much the next day, besides driving home...and getting stopped by customs...which SUCKS harder than Vietnamese hooker (story for another day...). So we ended up not being French Blue-haired Anarchists and were released after an hour of just.......waiting........

And that is the gist of our trip. Any questions?

Simon
